ASUS Maximus V Gene Micro-ATX Motherboard Review

New PC Build

My almost 6-year old gaming PC has been dieing.. 1st the sound card (onbaord) had failed out, so I installed an older Sound Blaster Audigy Card... then the onboard GBit Network controller had failed.. and with no room to install a separate NIC card.. and I'd prefer to build something new anyway.... >>>

Parts for my new PC Build came in from Juce Computers!! It's like Christmas...

I gave myself the smallest budget I've ever had when building a gaming machine.. I don't game as much as I used to, and I don't play really any 'bleeding-edge' games, so I didn't need anything crazy.

I forgot the picture of the RAM.. I'll get that up later in an edit :)

The Video card I'm using will be one of my wife's ASUS HD6870 (AMD-Radeon).. she had two for Crossfire configuration... not any more :)

Getting Updated

My transfer from Tumblr to Blogger is getting closer to completion.

I've been transferring my photos from my old Flickr account to my current one.
I've almost finished re-making posts I made on Tumblr to this Blog.

Artists that my brother & I watched at Bonnaroo 2012

This year for Bonnaroo I made sure I did some research before attending the event.
I went through the lineup list from bottom to top, adding about five songs from each artist to my Grooveshark playlist, and would listen to these songs whenever I got a chance.  This was a great method to use as I had found bands that I had not heard of before and of whom had songs I enjoyed listening to.
I had stumbled across bands such as The Main Squeeze, Trampled by Turtles, Moon Taxi, The Lonely Forest, and of course more.

Some bands are posted twice on either the same day or different days as they would have watched them on their main set, and again at one of the smaller stages or tents.

Because of schedule reasons, for a FEW of these shows, we would only have the privilege of enjoying a partial set of said show, then ran to another because we wanted to see so much.

* I may have missed a band or two.... it's hard to keep track of sometimes when we watched so much.. :)

moving from Tumblr to Blogger

With the technical difficulties that Tumblr has had, and that for some reason some ISPs in my area seem to block certain Tumblr servers, I'll be transferring pictures, posts, and anything else of blog value from my Tumblr account to my Blogger account.  I first have to clean up my Flickr accounts, and manage my pictures a little better, then I'll update this Blog.

I have been looking through the code to directly edit the HTML template for my Blogger site, but the code seems to be a bit more 'involved' than Tumblr is, so I'll be a bit slower designing my own template, but it will be done all in good time.

Once things are sorted, phlphll.com will no longer forward to my phlphll.tumblr.com blog, but this one, phlphll.blogspot.com.
